Our technical implementation using some presets in Pharos Designer and experimenting with colors. In the future, we want to utilize Pharos’ ability to import video snippets.

While completing our proofs of concept during this round, we found Pharos Designer overall easy to adapt to but didn’t know its full capabilities. For example, a few of us thought that the first four rows that came in the template controlled a different part of the bridge that had been predetermined. However, while meeting with the rest of the group to share our knowledge, we learned that in order to set different patterns to separate portions of the bridge, we can highlight and create our own controlling rows in the timeline.

Another concern is that our story doesn’t appear to obviously involve a “hero” based on our lights. This might be resolved by having every scene involve some motif in some portion of the bridge at all times.

Going forward, we are thinking about different ways to put together all our separate scenes. One possibility is to merge all the docs into one template, but this risks misaligning during copying that might prove tedious. Another option is to individually screen record scenes and merge them together. We would also like to see the bridge in person to remember what it looks like and visualize our story.
