Our project takes the audience on a journey through space. We take off, travel through all the planets, and experience an explosive ending. Galactic brings the night sky down to Pittsburgh in an interpretive and an expressive way.

This is a small snippet of our final product. It includes the scenes of taking off, seeing the sun (note the solar flares), and the Earth with an orbiting moon.

Our idea is to create a show that evokes the feeling of flying through space on a rocket ship. We wish to make the viewer feel as if they are exploring the corners of the universe. The goal is to create a planetarium-esque story, moving the show between planets, black holes and other astronomical scenes. With the limited resolution, we will be unable to fully render planets or other objects in detail. However, we plan to use colour selection, movement and maybe a soundtrack to create a similar emotional response.
