Announcements
Looking ahead, next class (Mar 31) we will address technical questions for both programming and lighting design.
Project Proposal Presentations
Each group will have roughly fifteen minutes to show your storyboard and hear comments.
Bridge Experimentation
We’d like each student to try setting up an effect in Pharos Designer 2 and testing it on the bridge some night this week. We strongly recommend working in pairs. Please use the scheduling sheet described under Bridge Scheduling to reserve a half-hour slot.
Please be courteous and turn off your WireGuard VPN client when not actively in use to minimize interference. The Pharos system is not designed around multiple access so some attention is required to avoid colliding requests.
Assignment 3
Due: noon on Monday Apr 7 Mar 31 (corrected)
The project handout is available on the Project Brief page. As per the brief, during the next class we will review your technical proposals and discuss specific implementation strategies. Please prepare by working out a general technical plan for review. Please be sure to note any technical questions for which you would like guidance.
Please remember there are materials on the Technical Resources pages which may be of help.
Deliverable: one Google Doc per group placed in the Assignment 3 folder including the following:
-
notes on the technical implementation plan for each section of the overall composition
-
proof-of-concept implementations for key components
-
a list of unresolved implementation questions
