1. Administrative

   • Poll for Fri Nov 22: who could show at the museum?

     • 9:30AM - 11:30AM

2. Assignments

   • Due today: bring in three specific ideas for museum projects and be prepared to sketch them on the whiteboard. Keep in mind we have about two weeks for the first prototype.

   • Due Wed Oct 30: qualification testing for first museum demo

   • Due Fri Nov 1: on-site testing at Children’s Museum

3. In-class

   • Pass back museum observations.

   • Pick your favorite idea and sketch it out on the whiteboard table. Please consider:

   • We’ll divide in half across the room and share ideas round-robin, one on one. I’ll assign an ordering; not everyone will hear from everyone else. After each round the interviewers will rotate around. You’ll have eight chances to present, eight to interview. (3 minutes/round, review timer).

   • Feasibility questions?

   • Discuss future review topic ideas:

     • Packaging and enclosure: hiding wires, etc.

     • Mechanism: linkages, cams.

     • Structure: joinery, stiffness.

     • Software: complex scripting, long-term behavior.

   • Pass out partner ballots.
