Day 18: (Mon Nov 6, Week 11) Children’s School: Prototype Test¶

Administrative¶
Today’s class is devoted to prototype testing at the Children’s School.
General notes:
Everyone: please bring anything you need. If you need power, please bring your own extension cord. Power strips will need plug covers on unused outlets; either avoid them, keep them small, or use every socket.
Children will rotate between stations every five minutes or so.
Please take photos and video documentation, but only from angles which don’t reveal identity. Back of heads are OK, but hands-only views are preferred.
Locations:
Musical Marble Playground: Green Room carpet area
Mysterious Sand Plate: low table in Green Room
Light water: kitchen sink
Overall: we’ll need to be fast and efficient. Please be as self-sufficient and resourceful as possible. I still highly recommend thinking through setup and writing out a checklist. And please keep me informed about any last-minute problems.
I’m looking forward to seeing your projects. These visits are hectic but can be really fun. Please keep your eyes open for surprising reactions from the children, they will teach all us a great deal.
