Perpetual Motion Seesaw

The main idea behind this project is from this seesaw balance which uses two golf balls to simulate a perpetual motion machine. My take on this would be to use the seesaw itself to “balance” to two golf balls instead of using the golf balls to balance the seesaw. The seesaw would be the machine while the balls would be the object.

This robot has no real beginning or end to this robot after it is put into motion. It is in a constant futile battle to keep the balls balanced.  This endless loop makes the seesaw itself surprisingly animate while also removing any sense of success or failure.

I envision this project using an accelerometer combined with a motor to keep the plank balanced as well as balls to roll along the plank.
