THis will allow me to create an underdog narrative.  The small robot will get pushed down over and over, but keeps getting back up.  Then it is able to win with some sort of special skill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m also trying to figure out what that skill (mentioned above) is and if it can relate to the standing up mechanism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/courses.ideate.cmu.edu\/16-375\/f2020\/work\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/phase2_stand_up.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">Standing Up attempt<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This is much harder than I initially thought it was going to be.  Getting the timing of the sliding arm to push while the wheels reverse si giving me some issues, along with getting the sliding arm to return to its initial position so that the robot can regain its balance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I also worked with the bumping and balancing of the two robots, and I was able to keep them upright after contact.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/courses.ideate.cmu.edu\/16-375\/f2020\/work\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/phase2_fight.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">Bumping and Balancing<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This is still a lot of work to be done on the balancinng aspect of the robots, and how intricate their movement can\/will be.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Artistic Objectives: Trying to get robot to be able to fall and stand back up on its own.
