Pneumatic Valve Racks¶
Our in-house pneumatic valve system uses Arduinos with solenoid driver shields to actuate small Clippard poppet valves mounted on fill/empty manifolds. The electronics are documented on Pneumatic Valve Drivers. This page describes the mounting arrangment for the manifolds.
The SolidWorks models is available as four-manifold-station.zip, or may be browsed as individual files in the four-manifold-station folder.
Four Manifold Card¶
CAD rendering of a single manifold driver card. Each laser-cut 6mm plywood manifold card holds four fill/empty manifolds, eight valves, and one Arduino with driver shield.¶
Full Card Rack¶
CAD rendering of the large card rack which is CNC milled from MDF and can hold all four manifold cards to supply a total of 16 fill/empty output channels.¶
Two Card Rack¶
