The initial intent was to portray the two pieces of fabric as one body by connecting them to the same motor and move in linear opposite directions. While one piece moves up, the other side falls, as a seesaw. The set up was not that difficult because you only need to attach the fabric on the two ends of the string. During the explorations, the motor often experienced glitches in high or low frequencies. I tried to create a pattern that mimics the parachute or jellyfish motion, in which the fabric expands when suddenly pulled up and contracts when it falls.
