The dying and binding patterns on the fabric added a lot more characteristics to the movement of the cloth. We decided to use silk because it performs more smoothly. Both patterns were retained very well on our fabric, and the crease and color were quite distinct on the two pieces of cloth, setting up a contrasting scene when these two clothes were wrapped together.

In terms of the performance of the cloths, we became very focused on creating shared fluid motion, where each cloth moved together producing a greater whole. We tried a variety of securing arrangements to create unison movements, beginning with securing the blue piece of fabric to the wire that kept the orange one in place. We also experimented with wrapping the blue fabric around the other, or fully encircling it. We felt that each of these arrangements created a movement more interesting than a single piece could produce.
