The main object of today is to sew a vest prototype in muslin in order to validate measurements and  adjust the fit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We will review the &#8216;Parasite&#8217; assignment on Thursday, then go over zipper installation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you finish your vest during class or are more experienced in machine sewing and garment construction, please participate in helping others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We will together do the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>orient the panels (inside out)<\/li><li>pin together the seamlines<\/li><li>try on and check the fit (inside out)<\/li><li>adjust as needed<\/li><li>machine-stitch<\/li><li>check fit (right-side out)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2>Assignment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Please finish assembling the vest prototype before Thursday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Feb 15, 2022, 12:20PM to 2:10PM Welcome!
