If you can, please install the <a href=\"https:\/\/codewith.mu\/\">mu Python editor software<\/a> in advance, we will be using it to program and interact with microcontrollers.  We will have an in-class workshop using the<a href=\"https:\/\/courses.ideate.cmu.edu\/16-376\/s2023\/ref\/text\/hardware\/cpb.html\"> Circuit Playground Bluefruit<\/a> microcontrollers with <a href=\"https:\/\/courses.ideate.cmu.edu\/16-376\/s2023\/ref\/text\/hardware\/crickit.html\">Crickit motor drivers<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><span id=\"Precedent_Research\">Precedent Research<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;ll begin with three brief student presentations on related work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><span id=\"Homework_Review\">Homework Review<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Please take a minute to get out your first &#8216;parasite&#8217; results for a quick review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><span id=\"Textile_Techniques\">Textile Techniques<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We will have a tutorial in several techniques useful for the project:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Adding semi-rigid elements to the fabric.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hand-stitching<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2><span id=\"Experimentation\">Experimentation<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;ll spend time working on incorporating textile elements into your project, then share at the end.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jan 31, 2023, 12:00PM to 1:50PM Welcome!
