Assignment 1 – Christian Moons

I did a basic image conversion where I took an image icon that’s pure black and white and used the fragment tool in paint.net in order to degrade it into separate fragments.  The icon was a pure black and white image I had lying around, and I fragmented it 29 times for a total of 30 states, then put all the images together into a gif for easy viewing.

You can clearly see as it progresses it gets to the point where if you didn’t know  what the original icon was you wouldn’t be able to tell what it is and then it goes further to the point where it is more of a pattern than an image.  Below I show the exact settings I used for the tool in paint.net, every step used these exact settings so that it’s an actual loop of the exact same image modification.
