I thought your concept was great as well, but I think it was a little too high-level, and perhaps a bit difficult to understand if there was no explanation. I think it would help if you made the LED more obvious that it was the goal of the finger, like by making it a jewel (placing a translucent acrylic jewel-shaped cap over it or something) or other generally appealing object.

It was fun to try, and rewarding to watch the little green finger move with mine
