I liked that it looks very clean and almost minimalistic- laser cutting a cover for the motor definitely helped contribute to that. I also liked your solution of threading a string through all the steps and attaching it to the motor, I thought it was very clever. For future improvements, it might help to look into how momentum affects the rotation of the steps, and how to adjust the speeds to manipulate the steps into fanning out in the way you want.
