{"id":1177,"date":"2021-09-29T10:58:42","date_gmt":"2021-09-29T14:58:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/courses.ideate.cmu.edu\/60-428\/f2021\/?p=1177"},"modified":"2021-10-03T19:05:59","modified_gmt":"2021-10-03T23:05:59","slug":"spingbing-blobfamily","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/courses.ideate.cmu.edu\/60-428\/f2021\/spingbing\/09\/29\/spingbing-blobfamily\/","title":{"rendered":"spingbing-BlobFamily"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to make a blob with just my previous knowledge, but every attempt resulted in a very sharp-edged polygon that wouldn&#8217;t even come near the definition of a blob. I then decided to watch Dan Shiffman&#8217;s video on Perlin Noise loops; with that and the help of some smoothing done with averaging and noiseDetail() with Golan, I was able to create my blob family. The fill is not even in each blob, which resulted in a bendy look. I actually quite like how it looks because I think it adds some movement to the image.<\/li>\n<li>One thing that stuck out to me from\u00a0<em>Entering the Blobosphere<\/em> reading was the de-categorization of the blob from the physical shape that it is so commonly associated with.
