{"id":1745,"date":"2021-11-06T19:02:15","date_gmt":"2021-11-06T23:02:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/courses.ideate.cmu.edu\/60-428\/f2021\/?p=1745"},"modified":"2021-11-06T19:02:15","modified_gmt":"2021-11-06T23:02:15","slug":"lemonbear-midsemester","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/courses.ideate.cmu.edu\/60-428\/f2021\/lemonbear\/11\/06\/lemonbear-midsemester\/","title":{"rendered":"lemonbear\u2014MidSemester"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I decided to add color to revamp my <a href=\"https:\/\/courses.ideate.cmu.edu\/60-428\/f2021\/lemonbear\/10\/06\/lemonbear-tilingpattern\/\">tiling project<\/a> from a couple weeks ago (where I coded a pattern to laser cut onto some fiberboard). Because I was dissatisfied by how strongly the grid dictated the piece, I thought of ways to make the piece more free flowing while still maintaining the original rules for the piece (edges want to match up). I devised a simple logic for the coloring, where the smaller shapes were colored warmly, and the larger swaths of color were cooler.
