We wanted to explore the possibilities with motorization, and thought the inside of a clock would be a very inspirational landscape to set our scene. We decided to create a floor of moving gears, with a large pendulum as the focal point. We also wanted to explore how the camera movement would interact with the movements happening within the scene. Lighting was also an important aspect for our creation, as we played a lot with the physical lights themselves as well as the coloring of the scene within Dragonframe.
