It all began with a dream.

We thought it would be interesting to create a marionette using the servo motors available to us.

With this idea in mind, we eventually decided to make a sort of spider, which eventually evolved into a fpider. Although making a believable set of spider legs is difficult, we decided that it would be a worthy challenge.

Using custom-cut parts, we assembled a sled that held six servo motors. The servo’s would actuate the legs (a simple piece armature wire with a joint), and a puppeteer would slide the slide along a track to create the illusion that the legs were pushing the spider along.

This is a short film about an Airbnb gone wrong.

We started with the idea of West Anderson’s section cut and moved into creating a crime scene. We have created ominous figures with pipe cleaners and pom pom balls that are the dangerous aliens, person figure with paper cut and trail of blood using red fabric.

For shooting the video, we used the camera to pan around and focus on specific moments in the house, ultimately revealing the fate of the homeowner. We also created our own sounds to go along with the video.

Sounds were created using black and white stone(also known as Gomoku stone )as rain sound. Wind sound by blowing into water bottle, and wood scratching sound from scratching wood.

For this Exercise, we have started with creating the narrative of mystical creature in space that has multiple layer of inside with eye ball movement on surface; however, we decided to focus on the exploration of movement of the eye. We have used light lamp as eye ball and created wooden structure/ mechanism to illustrate the eye movement of monster in space. we have used light with red fabric to illustrate the ominous sense of eye ball. We focused on the movement of the eye lids with pupil moving in various direction to convey the eye.
