Encoded Cloth from the Future

In the future, clothes will be concentrated more on the functional part. Clothes made out of smart textiles would be developed with increased functionality. Since smart textiles have numerous potential applications such as transforming into other materials, protecting the wearer from environmental hazards, communicating with other devices, they can be applied to clothing. Using smart textiles, clothes in the future will have functionality and aesthetic features. I believe that clothes would look like superhero suits we have seen in the movies. We would be able to custom functionality such as body suits with air conditioning function, fabric that can change color based on the wearer’s mood, and etc.

Korean Traditional Weaving

This weaving is a Korean traditional weaving piece. It has a traditional Korean pattern embroidered. This piece is often used to make Hanbok (a Korean traditional cloth). These patterns usually include stories. Each flower and animal have meanings and the pattern overall represents a story.
