On Tues., Nov. 30 we will visit and use the embroidery machine. To prepare for that visit we will look at preparing files to embroider with the machine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>STUDIO &#8211; Embroidery Machine<\/strong><ul><li>How to use the embroidery machine : <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/CreativeInquiry\/STUDIO-Embroidery-Machine#starting-an-embroidery\" target=\"_blank\">Embroidery Machine Github instruction repository<\/a><\/li><li><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>PEmbroider<\/strong><ul><li>PEmbroider is an open library for computational embroidery with\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/processing.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Processing<\/a><\/li><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/622000540\" target=\"_blank\">Tutorial video<\/a> (30 min) for using PEmbroider and the Studio&#8217;s embroidery machine<\/li><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/CreativeInquiry\/PEmbroider\" target=\"_blank\">PEmbroider github library tutorials and information<\/a><\/li><li>You will first need <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/processing.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Processing<\/a> in order to use this library.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Ink\/Stitch<\/strong><ul><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/inkstitch.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ink\/Stitch<\/a> An open-source machine embroidery design platform\/plugin based on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/inkscape.org\/\">Inkscape<\/a>. Use category labeled\u00a0<em>Independent Project<\/em>. Include an image and a few sentences.<\/li><li><\/li><li>If you haven&#8217;t already: <strong>Document your Encoded Cloth<\/strong>\u00a0by creating one post (as a group) on this website. Categorize your post under \u201cEncoded Cloth from the Future\u201d. Your post should include:<ul><li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Images<\/span>:\u00a0Using the \u201ctiles\u201d block, upload at an image of your full project and at least 2 close-up images showing more details of your project.<\/li><li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Written reflection<\/span>:\u00a0Write a few paragraphs about your project.
