November 29<\/mark><\/strong>: must come to class with ideas for final project; one-on-one conversations
December 1<\/mark><\/strong>st<\/strong><\/mark><\/sup>: finalized project proposal with visual research and sketches uploaded to slack
December 12 (8:30am-11:30am)<\/mark><\/strong>: final critique + clean up 11:30-12:30pm<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Option 1<\/strong>
<\/mark>Independent project<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. make something you would like to keep and not put into trash<\/li>
  2. must use techniques learned in class throughout the semester<\/li>
  3. documentation of research and idea development posted in slack<\/li>
  4. you must commit to documenting and contextualizing your creation in photo or video format, even if it takes place after class is over. What would you do if you wanted to make a provocative post on Instagram or TikTok?<\/li>
  5. hot glue may not be used<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Option 2<\/strong>
    <\/mark>Alter Ego Headdress<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What or who is your analog avatar? For this option, you are invited to create a soft and augmented expression of one\u2019s alternate persona, a state of being. This persona may have already been actualized in the past or is just ready to hatch into this world. You are NOT making a halloween costume. The pole of influence for halloween is popular culture at large and recognition of the visual trope is key. This assignment is much more about starting from an interior place without the need for the defined recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. make something you would like to keep and not put into trash<\/li>
    2. the headdress must activate any or all areas between shoulders and top of your head<\/li>
    3. must use techniques learned in class throughout the semester<\/li>
