November 20, week 12

Work Day!

Wet felting demo will take place on Tuesday of next week. Please meet me at the Dye Lab.  We will spend the whole class in the dye lab wet felting together. After Thanksgiving, we will only have 2 more classes before the Finals Week!

I propose that we hold our final meeting on Thursday, December 11, 10am-1pm. Holding our final meeting on Thursday gives students the opportunity to exhibit their works at Meet Me exhibition that takes place on Wednesday of Finals Week at Studio Theatre CUC.  Below you will find the registration form link for Meet Me and more information about it.

One form entry per project:
Meet Me @ is IDeATe semesterly exhibition of the imaginative and innovative projects and research devised and developed during Fall 2025. Expect an exhibition, game play, a hangout, a spectacle, an all-around engaging day beyond the creative intersection of art & technology. The CUC’s Studio Theater is reserved most of the day on December 10, which is Reading Day during finals week, and we plan to be open to the public from 12PM-5PM.

Every course, team project, and/or individual work will require different needs, we can work through all of that. In the past, I have received animation reels for projected or monitored viewing, interactive devices for installations or tabled demos, weavings and quilts (hung or displayed), new games ready for players (simple laptop on a table setup), etc.

We can be creative and have fun, but please submit only mostly completed projects for the showcase. IDeATe staff do not have the time to support a project beyond its development within the respective course–completed, prototyped, or WIPs will be accepted.

For those courses and students who would like to showcase their efforts (demo prototypes, exhibit installations, perform live, or screen/share any recorded work samples), please reach out to me directly.

This is not a requirement and will not be evaluated in a way. Unless a student is directly attached to one of the CFA conservatory programs on campus, there is a dearth of opportunity for exhibition exposure. My intentions are to ensure the accessibility, achieveability, and ongoing promotion of all IDeATe efforts.
