Tunic

Students draft and construct the Breeze Shirt. The following is the order of operation for students working on the tunic:
1. Watch all of the videos below to understand the overall process.
2. Draft a desired bodice similar to Breeze shirt with extended shoulder and a V opening in the center front. Compare how far the shoulder extends in the sloper and identify how far you need to extend the shoulder to match the look on the breeze shirt. Add the amount of ease desired along the side seam.
3. Draft the Sleeve sloper for the bodice based on the new armhole measurements.|
4. Draft a band collar based on neck measurements ending in the V opening.
5. Construct a muslin with minimal detail (unless practice is desired) and correct any changes in fitting.
6. Draft the facing and other decorative details (if desired). Practice fine construction of specific elements in muslin and once comfortable, move on to complete the tunic in fashion fabric.
