Assignment 1 Submission

1. Andy Warhol appreciation: Warhol is one of our most famous alum from the college of fine arts. This show would touch on all of his most famous paintings one at a time. For each painting, the show would slowly introduce each prominent color in the painting one by one, until eventually all colors from the painting were present and their proportions were similar to the original painting. 15 paintings, in 15 minutes

2. Sorting Carnegie Mellon: Imagine a color wheel that begins with all colors in random slices of the wheel, and then the wheel is slowly sorted by a sorting algorithm. We could use several different sorting algorithms so that the show has an educational aspect, showing how some algorithms are inherently faster than others. And instead of using the standard color wheel, we could modify it to have 6 main colors, representing the 6 different colleges. Each colors proportion on the bridge is determined by its proportion in the student population

3. Fireflies on Flagstaff: One of the most beautiful sights that can be seen around our campus is an orange sunset on flagstaff hill accompanied by fireflies dotting the tree line. This show would try to capture that scene over the course of 15 minutes. The bridge would start off as a brigher orange that darkens around the sides, and slowly turn darker and darker, fading into the “horizon” (bottom of the bridge). Meanwhile bright yellow flickers would dot the sides of the bridge
