I used a sonar as the input device, and a servo as my output. The closer an object comes to the sonar, the smaller the sweep of the arm of the servo, and vice versa. I dressed up the servo, so that it’s resting on a cardboard pedestal with marbles underneath. I also attached a small shaft and decorative endings to the servo arm. These two help in exaggerating the motion of the motor.
