Elyssa is a graduate of Neuroscience and Psychology from UCLA and is now studying Biomedical Engineering in CMU – A killer combination of things, literally. Not to mention that she does have a unique combination of skills to actually be a killer – having studied Martial Arts for most of her life. She definitely is a global wanderer, having been born in Paris, lived in Shanghai and the East and West Coasts of the USA. While Elyssa might seem soft spoken at first, do not dare to assume that it is who she is – once you unveil the curtain you end up finding a highly witty, intelligent, and frankly terrifying scientist whose skills are as diverse as the places she’s been. From knowing the parts and workings of the human brain – to Photoshop – to game design – she definitely does not allow herself to be constrained within what she is studying – quite the opposite, she turns her field of study into what her interests are.
Elyssa seems to be looking for 3 Primary Things out of this class:

1. Explore the Software-Hardware Interface
2. Working on Multi-Disciplinary Team Design Projects
3. Experience designing physical products
