Alex is a third year architecture student who is passionate about design that intrigues and inspires its audience. Skilled in magic tricks, origami, and martial arts, Alex is competent in last minute problem solving and creative design transformations. Alex is also a large advocate of bamboo implementation in design. He looks to integrate bamboo design, art and conversation whenever he has the chance.

Coming with little experience in programming with Java, and a fair amount of experience in digital fabrication, Alex hopes to take away new exciting skills and means of designing from the course such as:

– The ability to further merge technology and architectural design.

-To think in a way that impacts the way one deals with the implementation of technology into design.

-And to just learn Arduino for the sake of having fun.

Projecting into future goals in the class, Alex hopes to combine his love for magic to inspire an Arduino project. A project that looks to utilize the unpredictable nature of magic to pull out the playfulness and curiosity in children who interact with the device.
