This pitch and idea are based on previous work done in IDeATE for Prof Zeglin’s Physical Computing class. Here, my team built a series of tiny-little origami “creatures” that ended up being surprisingly animate – with actuated mechanisms, embodied behavior, and feedback based on the user’s distance to the creature. For this class, I’d like to continue this project, in some way or another. Pushing forward the complexity of behavior and robustness of this idea. I’d like to emphasize that this project does not have to involve origami – it just currently exists as the default medium for expression, but I’m also looking to different ideas, such as actuated hinges or fabric
