I liked being able to play with light and shadow, so I think it would be a good idea to continue along that trajectory for the final show.

Amorphous Fabric Interaction

fabric stretched over robot light

The idea would be to backlight this entire assembly and have the forms of the robots behind the curtain would cast variable shadows and volumes onto the audience-facing fabric. Since the robots would be directly interacting with stretched fabric, as they move their shadows do to.

This could be done in multiple ways from an experience design perspective. We could create a hallway and essentially have users walk through it and feel physically uncomfortable and surrounded. Or just have it come off the side like we did the first show and create a “living” wall.
