Artistic Objectives:
Emulate various expression with limited 2-axis-freedomed robots
In phase 2 of my project sim, I focused more on context and framing of actions to better imply expression. As a result, I have a short animated ‘scene’ between the piano tutor (left) and piano student (right)
In my final animation, I decided to go for a more mischievous or stubborn personality for the student. I think this makes the final act of anger exhibited by the tutor more pronounced, and makes the growing frustration of the tutor more apparent.
Physical System:
I imagine the physical robot will be similar to the simulation, having 2 degrees of freedom at most, and consisting pretty much entirely of slide hinges.
