Hinge Prototype Construction
Last class we began planned our prototype and began assembly. The prototype uses card board for the suitcase parts, lid, and hinge. A hobby servo was used to control the false lid and keep it up when the suitcase is closed.
Our next steps are to work with programming the control of the motor, and find the “rattling” effect device. Using the dimensions we know from the case ordered, (which is a smaller size, like a jewelry case) we can go ahead and fabricate the actual hinge in sturdier metal.
