We now have 12 frames per revolution. We also got the setup to be phase-dependent instead of time-dependent. This removes the sliding effect we had before.

This means changing speed would automatically set the proper frequency that the light should strobe at. If there are stalls in the system, the strobe will still flash at the right time.

We also got the opportunity to refine the damping frequency of the system to take away the jagging motion.

0.5 Hz and critical damping of 1.

Progress Report for Week 2

For the centerpiece, we’ve scaled the model down in order to fit the suitcase properly, but more testing might need to be done to make sure it’s the right size. The frame for the mirror has been made.
