Context:

Curious in further exploring choreographed/controlled motion, our test involves a dance “performance” that can be interacted with through an Akai MPD218 Drum Pad Controller.

Upon each motor is a dancer, made with wire and formed into a dancing position- using the controller, audiences can directly interact with the performance, with different buttons corresponding to different patterns. For instance, certain buttons may cause specific dancers to change speed or direction, while others may trigger a choreographed group motion. Through further experimentation, button commands can be updated/tweaked to create increasingly captivating results.
