Final Performance

Revised for 2025.

Our next objective is to refine the performance of the physical machine and test an improved interaction with new naive users.

Please take into consideration the results of the preliminary study and critique to plan specific changes to robot behavior, operator control, and the performance situation.

At this point, you should have a complete, functioning robot. Please keep any additional hardware changes to the bare minimum to focus on refinement of the programming and human performance.

User Testing

After implementing your behavior changes, please recruit at least two new naive subjects to experience the interaction and document the result on video.

Please edit a concise summary video documenting the final performances as a coherent experience.

Deliverables

Please be prepared to discuss your results in a brief class presentation. Most of these results will also serve as the core of the final report.

Please include the following:

• slideshow with a concise introduction to the final project concept

• video of a representative interaction

• a side by side analysis of video clips from the preliminary study and the final study to highlight specific improvements

• photo documentation of the final artifact
