Due Thu Oct 1: Exercise: Maquette Part 2: Prototype. Please submit results to Assignment 8 Shared Folder and bring the device to class for live demonstration.

Please remember we are trying to perform the simplest possible test to find out more about your mobility concept; the fast turnaround is the point.

Looking ahead, I’d like us to resolve project pairs before Fall Break. Practically, this means negotiating candidate final projects on Tuesday Oct 6, with a backup date to Thursday Oct 8.

Agenda

  1. Quick intro to the IDeATe 3D printing system.

    • I still prefer laser-cutting for the bulk of your parts, but a few projects would benefit from 3D printing.

    • IDeATe 3D Printing Guide

    • Mosaic Array 3D print submissions for RCP-F26

    • Please do not attempt to remove parts from the printer.

    • The part pickup rack is currently near the Lending desk.

  2. The class time will largely be individual consultation and work time.
