For this assignment, I tried to use gathering and shirring to make some emoji style faces. In particular, I was trying to explore the possibility for faces to frown at its nose and between the eyebrow. I used tape to make the face for the possibility to adjust the face (it’s really hard to get rid of marker/fabric chalk from the fabric without washing it).

It is suppose to change from a happy face to an angry face. The difficulty was that the capstan is difficult to rig up for things to move from side to side. The face change is not as recognisable as I thought it would be.
