Basketball Catapult 

Principle of toy:  

The catapult utilizes physical principles such as lever arm and projectile motion to shot basketballs.

How children will interact with the toy:

Players simply place a mini basketball on the catapult cup and use their fingers to push down on the other side of the level arm. Players can also adjust the position of the pivot point to shorten or maximize range of the catapult.

Construction cost, durability and safety:

The construction cost of the catapult itself should be low since the main body can be made from wood. However, the basketball hoop may be more costly to make. This toy is very durable if used properly. However, safety is a major concern for this toy because children may put other harmful objects in the catapult.
