This toy allows children to learn about how magnetic fields work while also exploring their creativity by creating artwork. By using different side of the magnetic paddle around different areas of the cube, the child can pull the sand outward. Once they are done, the cube can be shook to place the sand in its original form as a squeezed in shape. This toy is intended for children ages 4-10, as the concept is simple and relatively easy to use for younger children. The cube would be made of clear plastic with a clear pole in the middle where the magnetic sand will stay, and the paddle will be a magnet. The cube will be about 8x8x8 inches, and the paddle will be about 3 inches. The toy will be relatively safe because the paddle is too large for an infant to swallow, but risks are possible if the plastic cube breaks and the magnets fall out (they could be swallowed).
