14 A Real ROBOT Transformer
This toy is inspired by the already-existing transformer toys, while new functions are incorporated into the toy. This toy is designed to be played by 4-15 year old children, or even older adults.
- the transformer have multiple components that are connected together such that it can be transformed between car and human-body shape. Electronic principles will also need to be used to incorporate voice recording, lighting and sound into it. Besides these, mechanical parts, such as winder, will also be used to make the toy be able to walk.
- Children can bend all the joints to either fold it back into a car or pull it out into the shape of a walking transformer. In both the shapes, they can press a button to switch on the lights installed, e.g. headlights. At the same time, that switch can turn on to play radio music. What’s more, there is a recording button that they can press to record their voices. The recording can also be designed such that the voice played back would be processed to have a robot sound. This button can also let parents interact with they children (I imagine children like to see toys calling their names, at least I still do). Finally, walking components can be installed so that children can let the transformer walk or drive by winding up the toy.
- The material would include the following: a basic transformer model that can be worked on as a starting point, bulbs, wires, batteries, recording device, winders, small speaker, etc. The toy should be durable for children to play, and could not be broken apart easily. All the small components such as wires should not be exposed and the batteries box should be nailed to prevent children from accidentally opening it.
