Programmable Chess
More about how it works:
- I got the idea for this toy from Harry Potter. In Harry Potter, they play a game called Wizards Chess. I loved it. So, with this game, kids can learn to program simple commands into the computer (valid chess moves), and the board will automatically move the pieces to the correct spot.
- A kid would be able to set up the pieces on the board in the correct starting positions. From there, each player takes turns programming commands into the computer and watching the chess game take place. It teaches them about programming and the art of the great game of chess.
- The chess board itself would be made of a wooden housing with all of the electronics contained inside. The pieces would be a solid plastic and move on metal tracks. I would like to manufacture the game to be very robust so it could be played for a long time.
