Shape and Number House
More about how it works:
- I got the idea for this toy from a whole bunch of toys that I used to play with as a young kid. Lincoln logs, blocks, and all sorts of games like Operation. It is essentially a toy that allows kids to learn basic shapes and numbers while gaining some listening skills and coordination with their hands.
- A child would interact with the toy by listening to the soundtrack. The audio would tell the kid which number or shape to put inside the house. Then, the kid selects a toy and tries to fit it into the correct slot. Each slot would have a sensor and let the user know if the correct toy was placed in.
- I would make most of the shapes and numbers out of wood. Then, the hose would be made of smooth plastic. The house would have relatively few fasteners so it would be easy to open and retrieve the pieces from the inside.
