Ever been mesmerized by lava lamps for more than 30 minutes? Well, I have too. The concept of lava lamps are interesting yet simple, as it requires two liquids that aren’t soluble (usually water and mineral oil or wax). For this toy, a child would be able to wind-up the miniature lava lamp by turning the bottom, which will power the mixing of the two liquids. While this is purely for entertainment, the child would also be able to learn about the behavior of two insoluble liquids. In order to make this toy, the top casing will be made from acrylic and completely enclose the liquids. The bottom will contain the wind-up mechanism and mixer for the liquid. The toy is durable and completely enclosed, so it is extremely safe.
