This toy works off of the principle of magnetism. There is a magnet threaded onto a center bar that allows the magnet to only move in one direction. Magnets are also placed on the ends of the toy, creating repelling magnetic fields. This allows for the magnet in the center to “levitate.” The body can be filled with a liquid in order to make the frequency of the magnet moving slower or faster.
This is a simple variation of a shake toy or rattle where the child can just shake it back and forth. It can also just be an observational toy if need be as well.
This toy would be made of magnets and a clear plastic like poly carbonate. Because of the dangerous nature of the magnets with small children, The magnets would probably need to be either glued or fixed into the part so that it can’t be broken off and consumed.
