15 – Jumping Army Parachute Guy

This toy is based on the principles of spring-loaded energy and drag. It teaches a child about a spring’s ability to store elastic energy, as well as how a parachute works. The child holds the army guy by the plastic base he stands on – pressing it against the ground and then releasing. This launches the army guy into the air and deploys the parachute, which slows the descent. The toy is designed for ages 7 and older, as it is fairly complicated and requires the parachute to be reloaded into the helmet after each use.
