This toy teaches the child about springs and oscillating motion.
The child can push down or pull up on the head of the cat to stretch or compress the spring. Upon release, the head will bounce up and down. Due to the simplicity of the toy, it will likely be used by very young children less than 3 years old.
There is a tube in the middle of the cat that is attached to the base to protect the spring and keep it in a straight line. The tube and base will be made of plastic and should be easy to 3D print. The tube is surrounded by very soft stuffing to allow free movement up and down.
