Hyperloop Track

Introducing the build-your-own Hyperloop Track! Kids around the world remember the build-it-yourself Train tracks that could be connected into any shape or pattern that they could imagine. They could send their train off on elaborate journeys through the living room, daring quests in the kitchen, or repetitive circles around the Christmas tree. Their passengers would go wherever their hearts desired.

The Hyperloop Track takes this idea into the future, allowing for three-dimensional building of one of the most sought after technologies of the 21st century! Children 7 and up can connect various straight and curved tubes in different patterns and designs, then send the hyper-car through the tunnels to the station. They could set it up in around the Christmas tree in a classic track, or build in crazy twists and turns that spiral 5 feet into the air!

Each of the connectable tubes will be constructed from a plastic or acrylic outer tube, surrounding an inner solenoid made of coiled wire. Connecting the tubes to each other and the Hyperloop station will create a series circuit that induces a magnetic field through each of the tubes. The train itself will roll along tracks that are attached to the outer tube and will have electromagnets that are propelled forward by the magnetic field. The car would most likely be constructed with plastic and a steel electromagnet.
