The Process:

  1. Liquid metal is poured into a mold
  2. Mold contains hollow cavity of desired shape
  3. Allowed to solidify
  4. The casting is ejected

Useful For:

  • Making complex shapes that would be difficult or uneconomical to make by other methods
  • Once necessary molds and tools ready…fast production
  • Reduced assembly
  • Little to no sizing restraints
  • Even versatile surface textures
