Metal Casting
The Process:
- Liquid metal is poured into a mold
- Mold contains hollow cavity of desired shape
- Allowed to solidify
- The casting is ejected
Useful For:
- Making complex shapes that would be difficult or uneconomical to make by other methods
- Once necessary molds and tools ready…fast production
- Reduced assembly
- Little to no sizing restraints
- Even versatile surface textures
