Natasha Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 is a piece of expanded theatre that draws from classic literature, traditional musical theatre and Russian style dinner clubs. The story is based on one chapter from War and Peace. The show isn’t preformed in a traditional theatre space, but rather a custom designed space modeled in the style of a Russian dinner club. The audience sits all around the performers. At times the actors will get up on the bars or dance between the tables. Unlike most dinner theatre 1812 takes place in a location that has been designed with great care to help set the mood for the story. Natasha Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 has an amazing power to pull the audience in the the mood of the story and spread the high energy to everyone in the room.
