“Sanctum” by Juan Pampin and Michael McCrea (2013)

This work explores social media and physical space. The technology used allows audio to be projected towards a moving target; people can be in the same space and have totally different experience. For each viewer, the experienced is customized. The art analyzes the people surrounding the gallery and project voices towards them. As they approach the gallery, they are analyzed and the voices narrow to one voice that matches the demographic of the listener.
